Sezon 1984 w PPG CART Indy Car World Series był szóstą edycją tej serii wyścigowej. Rozpoczął się 1 kwietnia a zakończył się po 16 wyścigach 11 listopada.
Tytuł mistrzowski zdobył Mario Andretti z zespołu Newman/Haas Racing odnosząc w sezonie sześć zwycięstw, a tytuł najlepszego nowicjusza (Rookie of the year) zdobył Roberto Guerrero.
