モートン・ハルペリン

モートン・ハルペリン（Morton H. Halperin、1938年6月13日 - ）は、アメリカ合衆国の政治学者。専門は、外交政策論、核戦略論。現在、外交問題評議会上級フェローおよびオープン・ソサエティ財団上級顧問。

コロンビア大学卒業後、イェール大学で博士号取得。ハーバード大学を経て、ジョンソン政権時代に国防次官補代理（1966-1969年）、ニクソン政権時代に国家安全保障会議メンバー（1969年）、そしてクリントン政権時代には大統領特別顧問、国家安全保障会議メンバー、国務省政策企画本部長（1998-2001年）などを歴任。

また、1984年から1992年までアメリカ自由人権協会のワシントンDC支部長を務めた。

発言

• 日本の特定秘密の保護に関する法律について、「米国の同盟国や緊密な関係にある国々の中で最悪のものだ」と批判した^[1]。
