The company was established in 1992 by Robinson Shiba. In 2021, the TrendFooods got shelled to Grupo Trigo.^[1]

Currently, the chain has over 145 restaurants located throughout Brazil.^[1]^[2]^[3]

China in Box's history begins in 1986 with the trip of friends in United States.
