La designació de Bayer Tau del Serpent (Tau Serpentis) (τ Ser / τ Serpentis) és compartida per una col·lecció de vuit estrelles τ¹ Serpentis through τ⁸ Serpentis, en el cap de la constel·lació del Serpent. Estan distribuïdes en un espai de 40 minuts en ascensió recta per 3,5° en declinació. Estan numerades per ascensió recta creixent:
